Huntington Motorsports
was formed in 1992 when it became obvious the upward trend in motorsport
popularity was going to transcend the upward path of success being
enjoyed by a young kart racer by the name of Mike Alguire.
In
1994 a Street Stock racecar and an enclosed hauler were purchased
in anticipation of the switch from karts to stock cars. A new shop
was built in Lambeth, Ontario to house Huntington Motorsports exclusively.
Today the Huntington team has one of the finest facilities on the
circuit complete with the latest equipment at their disposal.
Mike's
father, John, is the General Manager of Huntington Motorsports and
a successful businessman in London, Ontario with extensive event
marketing experience. A former road racer, John has also been active
in sports in the London area. He was the recipient of the London
Sportsperson of the Year award, presented annually by the London
Rotary Club and Local Sports Media.
